Chef for an Upcoming Cafe

We serve vegetarian fusion snacks, freshly prepared food, bakery items, smoothies, and refreshing beverages. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in preparing fresh, flavorful food and enjoys being part of a small, friendly team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook vegetarian snacks, light meals, fusion dishes.
• Assist with menu preparation, recipe development, and introducing new food items.
• Prepare ingredients and maintain consistent food quality, taste, and presentation.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food storage guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen.
• Monitor inventory, minimize food waste, and communicate supply needs.
• Manage food preparation efficiently during busy service hours.
• Work collaboratively with café staff to ensure excellent customer service.
• Follow established recipes while contributing creative ideas to the menu.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a chef, cook, café cook, or in a similar food preparation role preferred but not a must
• Experience with vegetarian cooking, fusion cuisine, or bakery items is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety, kitchen hygiene, and ingredient handling.
• Ability to work independently in a small café kitchen.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.
• Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working in a team-oriented environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to the café’s menu and procedures.
